Ventura County Handweavers and Spinners Guild

Workshop - Warp Painting On The Loom

Where: Camarillo Center for Spiritual Living

Address: 340 E. Mobil, Camarillo

When: Saturday, April 22, 2017 12:30 PM  to Sunday, April 23, 2017 4:00 PM

Using fabric paints and pens, try out several techniques-everything from applying a color wash to reproducing drawing from a cartoon. This is not a “painted warps” workshop in the usual sense of dying a warp chain.  This is painting on a warp that is under tension on the loom, drying the paint using a hair dryer, and then weaving. This process is repeated several times with varying techniques. Painting the warp under tension is a fun and easy way to add a new dimension to your weaving.
